Hello to my fellow Michiganders living in the 5th Congressional District.  My name is LaCracha Handy (pronounced Lacrisha), and I am running for District Level Delegate for Joe Biden for the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in August 2020.

Not only am I am a lifelong Michigander,  but I have also been living in the 5th Congressional District since day one.  I am a full-time employee in the Emergency Room at an area hospital, and I have two teenage sons.  They both attend public schools and my youngest is special needs.

My priorities are:

1. Special needs community
2. Affordable health care
3. Public education
4. Retirement including pension and health insurance (I will be eligible for retirement     in a few years so I’m all for protecting retirees benefits)
5. Medicare
6. Social Security
